In Lumira Server 1.17. Is it possible to auto-refresh reports without refreshing the web page? Only when I refresh the page, then the data gets updated.

Has anyone run across an issue with being unable to connect to a non default SQL Server instance (sqlservername\instance)? It indicates the the backslash is an illegal escape character. Anyone found a workaround for this? See screenshot below.

Need help.
I am trying to publish a dataset on BO Explorer but it's taking a lot of time. I restarted my machine and then application but it's not working. I tried accessing the Explorer using launchpad and I am able to access that but not able to connect to Explorer using Lumira. Details are:
Lumira Version: 1.17
BO Explorer Version: 4.1 SP3
Dataset Type: SQL for Oracle
Number of records in table: 500
Please help.

out support for Lumira for Windows 32-bit as early as 2015. The intent of
this discussion is to understand better about how this might impact you and
allow both SAP and you as customers to make adequate plans.
We are working on a number of innovation initiatives to enhance analytical
capabilities and performance of Lumira. It would make most sense to focus
our effort on 64-bit as well to re-direct future cost of maintaining multiple
versions of software to delivering on your business requirements. We are
also noticing increasing number of software or technologies we require having
incompatibility issues or limitations on 32-bit platforms.
We are considering phasing out 32 bit support in 2H of 2015. Hence, I am reaching
out to you for early input. Can you share with us how this plan impacts your
existing or planned Lumira adoption?

Hello Experts,
We recently upgrading the lumira desktop enterprise edition from 1.15 to 1.17.1 version in windows 7 SP1,32 bit OS.(4GB RAM)
We have installed 32 bit lumira desktop version with admin rights and installation was done without any errors.
When we click on SAPLumira.exe file,there is no action and nothing happen and we are not able to get the lumira screen.
Need your suggestions.

Hi expert,
we start to use SAP Lumira to expose data of procurement analyscts to our director.
Our need is to mantain the same selection between different Board Pages to minimize the input selection from the users.
For example the Vendor selection of the Board page 1 must be inherited from the page 2.
We didn't find this function in SAP Lumira current features.
We also tried to use Report Page Type, but this type doesn't have the same filtering type of Board Page Type.

Hello All,
I'm trying to use Lumira to explore data in BW infocube. To do this, I've created a relational connection and built and universe.
When I select a very few characterists (key and/or text) and ratio, it's work. 
But as the number of objects (characterstics + ratios) is higher than 6, there is an error message without text. I've just caught this details (in bellow).
I cann't use the lastest version of product, but this my this configuration:
Lumira SP15
BI4.0 SP4
BI7.0 SP14
Is there a recommandation about universe, relational connections or lumira dataset creation ?
What are BI4 services called during the reading of data by Lumira ?

Hi,
Is there any way we could consume stories created on one lumira server in another lumira server.
Example: Created a story in one lumira server, publish it to BOE, connect another lumira server to BOE and pull back the story(.lums) file back to the 2nd lumira server.
Could this be possible?

I'm facing to a connection problem between Lumira SP17 and BW 7.01 (SP14): no BW query are displayed when I would like to create a dataset.
As it was indicated into a previous discussion, I've replaced (or deleted) all old copies of my saplogon.ini and SAPLOGON_INI_FILE environment is updated.
But unfortunately, connexion to my SAP BW system does not work. Moreover, if I use a non-existing user in Lumira, there is error message.
I've caught this error message:
No system nodes found on specified system types.No system nodes found on specified system types.
What could actions be performed to solve this issue ?

Does SAP LUMIRA allows to do formatting, conditional formatting on table visualization?I have checked for it and I didn't find it. I have a requirement to implement this so is there any solution or workaround for this?

I have just started our eval of the SAP Lumina and for the most part the process has gone well. However I can't seem to get a story to be shared.
Is there any documentation that walks the process step by step? For example I have loaded and prepared the data. Composed the data. Created two visualizations. Now I want to share. What has to happen next? I have saved the data both locally and to the SAP Lumina cloud. When I select "Share" from the top toolbar I don't see any options to share it.
I apologize for this very basic question.
Any help/direction/guidance is very much appreciated.

Is there an option to disable the SAP Lumira user with BI_DATA_ANALYST role from loading the Excel data into SAP Hana? We would like the user to be able to create story boards and publish it on SAP LUMIRA server using HANA views but not allow him to load any flat file data.

In "Installations and Upgrades", "L" section, I can't see "SAP LUMIRA IN-MEM. FOR BI4 1.0" that I should see according to :
"SAP BusinessObjects BI add-on for SAP Lumira
Document Version: 1.0 - 2014-06-19"
Do I need a specific profile ?

I downloaded the latest version (1.17) of SAP Lumira Personal Edition and successfully installed. On starting the application for the first time, the Registration window appeared displaying a message stating that an internet connection could not be established along with a link to the Network Settings to configure a proxy server. I entered some credentials and restarted the application, but unfortunately the Proxy settings I entered were incorrect. On re-starting the application the option to configure Proxy settings from the Registration window had disappeared. In it's place the following message is now showing:
‘Unable to contact the server. The website appears to be down. Try again later’
Continuing with the registration process led to a‘Server Error’ message displaying in the Registration window and the only other option available was‘Exit’, which closes the application.
I have uninstalled the software, rebooted and re-installed again several times, but each time the option to configure the Proxy settings fails to come back. I assume the details I originally input are being stored somewhere on my machine, but I do not know where. As a result of this problem, I cannot use the software as I am unable to progress past the Registration window due to not being able to re-configure the Proxy server settings.
Please can someone advise how I can resolve this issue as I have not found any SAP Notes relating to it? Presumably there is a file storing the Proxy settings I originally entered that needs deleting or editing. My operating system is Windows 7 Professional.

I am thinking in using Geographic Hierarchy in the datas sets. I am with the doubt if is possible to use it in another locations, for example, I live in central america but do not know if it works in countrys for example Guatemala , El Salvador and Honduras. I do not know the scope of the Geographic Hierrarchy. I know it can use latitude and longitude data, Any opinions ?
